Auction Antiques look set to become the major force in the Southwest of England auctioneering business by appointing Steve Ferguson as Head of Auction Services, with immediate effect.
Mr Ferguson, who most recently headed up Bristol Auction Rooms, will be looking to boost Auction Antique’s business throughout the Southwest of England, whilst continuing with the nationwide development of his specialist area of jewellery, silver & watches. He will also be on the rostrum regularly at The Antique Village, Hele, EX5 4PW.
With a career spanning 20 years in the industry – including formal international training at the Gemological Institute of America, the study of coloured stones in Thailand, and professional diamond grading in California – Steve delivers huge knowledge for those consigning goods across the spectrum of antiques, art and collectibles.
Confirming Steve’s appointment, Auction Antique’s Managing Director, Mr Ian Rosher, said: “Steve taking the role as Head of Auction Services makes a statement regarding our intentions to provide quality auctioneering services for both buyers and sellers throughout the region. Our base at ‘The Antique Village’ site is superbly located for all consignors and purchasers. We are a relationship business, therefore it was vital to secure such an experienced and well respected person to this senior position.”
The next sale at Auction Antiques takes place on 21st August, live bidding via EasyLive. The full auction calendar includes a forthcoming late autumn specialist sale for watches, jewellery and fine antiques for which consignments are now being accepted.
